Brief: Sichuan Electric Power Trading Center Makes First Major Power Transmission Out of Sichuan
July 12, 2007 -- On June 27, Sichuan Electric Power Trading Center for the first time organized more than 100 power stations to transmit electricity to other provinces, the official website of the State Grid Corporation of China reported.
Sichuan Electric negotiated with the Central China Power Grid Company and power companies in other provinces to generate a total of 2.411 billion kilowatts of electricity. Of these 417 million kilowatt-hours were transmitted to Eastern China, 1.362 billion kilowatt-hours to Central China while 632 million kilowatt-hours were transmitted to Chongqing. Through this development the Sichuan provincial power company has utilized its large water and electric power resources to enlarge the scale of power transmission and facilitate optimization of resource management, said China Grid. |
