September 12, 2007 -- Chongqing Municipal Finance Bureau is offering up to 10 million yuan to financial firms that move to the city. On September 5, city officials announced that newly established or settled financial institutions including banks, insurance companies, securities companies and financial intermediary agencies can qualify. Moreover, companies that locate their headquarters in Qingchong can receive a bonus of up to 10 million yuan, reported Chongqing Business News.

Financial headquarters in Chongqing with registered capital of 1 billion yuan and above will receive 10 million yuan; those between 500 million yuan to one billion yuan will receive 8 million yuan; those with between 200 million yuan to 500 million yuan will receive 6 million yuan while companies with less than 200 million yuan will receive 5 million yuan. As to regional headquarters and municipal organizations with operational capital above 2 billion yuan, 5 million yuan will be paid; those with between 100 million yuan and 200 million will get 3 million yuan while those below 100 million yuan will receive 2 million yuan.
