October 25, 2007 -- After the opening of the Suolongsi to Pingyuanjie expressway, Luofu expressway, the first between Yunnan and Guangxi Province, will open to the public at the end of October, Yunnan TV reports. Once the new expressway is put into operation, it is expected to make material and passenger transportation between the two provinces much more convenient. Moreover, Luofu Expressway will become the main road from Yunnan to Guangxi and the coastal ports.

Yunnan TV said that the Luofu Express way begins from the crossroads of Luo Village between Yunnan and Guangxi Provinces and ends at Funing County of Wenshan State. The total length of the expressway is 79.3 kilometers which will shorten the commute between Yunnan and Guangxi from the previous 3 and half hours to just 50 minutes. It is not only the main road from Kunming to Nanning to Hengyang and Guangzhou to Kunming National Expressway that is being affected by the new construction. Currently, the section of Funing to Guangnan to Yanshan Expressway which will connect with the Luofu Express way with a total length of 146 kilometers is also under construction.
