December 26, 2007 -- The Agricultural Bank of China will soon unveil a major restructuring plan, the central bank governor said at a Beijing financial conference this week, according to a report in the state-owned Shanghai Daily. According to Zhou Xiaochuan, the governor of the People's Bank of China, ABC's main focus is the development of China's agricultural sector. ABC is the last of the four major state-owned banks to be restructured. The bank is expected to follow the path blazed by the Industrial Bank of China, Bank of China, and th China Construction Bank, all of which restructured and then had record-breaking IPos in Hong Kong over the past couple of years.
