-- Eastern Airlines told reporters that it will start commercial flights between Kunming andCalcutta in order to promote trade , the Yunnan Daily Newspaper reported Wednesday (March 21). The flights will start later this year, connecting India's eastern city of Calcutta to Kunming, and will include business charter passenger and cargo transport.

This route will help the shipping industry by shortening the travel distance between the two cities, the newspaper said.
