February 5, 2008 -- The Bank of China has issued 1 billion yuan (US$144 million) to businesses affected by the recent weather problems, reported the state-owned Xinhua newswire Tuesday. Recipients were primarily in the energy, oil, petrochemical, telecom, transport and power industries, Bank of China spokesman Wang Zhaowen told the agency.
