Brief: Wuhan expo highlights industry shift to central China

May 15, 2008 -- May 15, 2008--The third-annual Central China Expo concluded in Wuhan yesterday with over US$40 billion in agreements signed between business people from 113 countries and six central provinces includes Shanxi, Anhui, Jiangxi, Henan, Hubei and Hunan.
The organizing committee said that 673 projects involving foreign direct investment and 766 projects with investment from other part of China were signed, state-owned media reported, and deals ranged from high-tech investment, environmental protection, tourism, financial services, machinery and engineering, vehicle manufacturing and auto parts.
